Iowa Bankers Insurance and Services (IBIS) is the fiduciary administrator of the Iowa Bankers Benefit Plan (Plan). The Plan has been providing health insurance for bank employees and their families in the state of Iowa since 1978. Formed as a small group health insurance trust, the Plan has evolved into a significant health insurance organization in Iowa, insuring over 11,000 employees and 28,000 lives.

The Plan is very strong with more than $18 million in the Trust, which provides a cushion during periods when claims come in higher than expected. The strength of the Trust, combined with the Plan’s low administrative cost, acts as a solid financial foundation that will enable the Plan to continue to serve members for years to come.
